Water intrusion can be difficult to stop when the source is not where you expect it to be. At this property, water was entering the building through an electrical conduit—but the actual source was outdoors.
Three contractors had already attempted to fix the problem before Middle Georgia Property Enhancements was called. After carefully investigating the source of the water, our team identified the cause and solved the problem within two days.
Why the earlier repairs didn’t work
Treating only the visible water would not have corrected the underlying problem. The key was tracing the water back to its outdoor entry point and stopping it before it could continue traveling through the conduit and into the building.
This was not the first time MGPE has encountered water traveling through a conduit from an outside source. Experience with drainage and waterproofing problems helps our team look beyond the obvious symptoms and find the actual cause.
